ABOUT LORI
I was a long time paranormal romance fan before I started writing them. I love the strong heroes who are just “a little bit more”, who challenge the women in their lives, and who treasure and protect their heroines.
My husband isn’t supernatural, but he is Scottish and sometimes that is the same thing. We live in Alberta and the landscapes around me often play a role in my stories. We also have one elderly black cat who is finally starting to like me. It only took almost twenty years of living under the same roof.

A FEW FUN FACTS
1. A Werewolf’s Curse Series was originally called Winter Curves… and there were no werewolves in sight. The premise was that things heated up when the blizzard hit, but then I started writing the second and third books in the series during the mad rush of NaNoWriMo and suddenly my handsome heroes were sexy werewolves.
2. A Wolf’s Protection was written as a follow up story for my A Werewolf’s Curse series. Readers asked to see the wolves living their happily-ever-afters and then it grew and grew and ended up as the first in a new series, Lothian Werewolves. I have the next book in the series underway, but my muse was hijacked by another series. I plan to come back to this series soon!
3. My cat’s name is Darcy, named after Mr. Darcy of Pride and Prejudice fame, because… well, just because. 😉 Aw… Update… Darcy is no longer with us and oh how I miss him.
4. I’ve been thinking about writing a dragon story since 2013! Wow! It all started one foggy evening when I was driving alone in the country. The story has changed a lot since that first idea… and now I have a whole series planned around my Mannix Dragon Shifters! 🙂 I wrote more about that in a blog post here.
5. Heather’s story (Her Dragons, Her Mates) was inspired by a comment in a review for Their Runaway Mate. The reviewer wanted to know what happened to the girl in the cage… Funnily enough, my editor wasn’t overly excited about the idea of Heather’s story, but after she read it she decided it was one of her favorites. So there you go! 🙂
6. The Warlock Prince’s Guards series has been in the work for almost 10 years! That was the first time I wrote a scene that would ultimately end with Secrets and Sorcery (Mike and Avery’s story). It took me a long time to work my way back to the Dark Guards world, but I’m excited to have finally shared it with you!
