An excerpt from Seduced By the Wolf (A Werewolf’s Curse #3):
She took a deep breath. The distinctive scent of her sex filled the air. It wouldn’t take a werewolf’s senses to know what she’d been up to, so it was a good thing that Chad never came into her bedroom. And although she had found a release, it was but a ghost of what she thought the real experience with Chad would be.
Too bad she would never find out.
Enough of that.
She shut off her alarm clock. She wouldn’t be sleeping now. The aftershocks of her orgasm still vibrated through her body, particularly between her legs, as if begging for more, but she didn’t have time to linger in bed.
Sam shoved the fantasy out of her head, and concentrated on the tasks ahead. In particular, she needed to go through their supplies again. Their investigative gear was her main priority, since that was what would lead them to the werewolves.
Ten minutes after rolling out of bed she was down in her garage, doing a final review. One of the first things she had done when she started working with Chad was create a preparation checklist. She had gone over her list last night before turning in, but she would go through it again at least twice before they left this morning. It was her thing.
Camera batteries charged, check. Camera lenses cleaned, check. Audio equipment packed, check. Motion sensors packed, check. Night goggles packed, check. First aid kit packed, check. And the list went on.
Everything was ready and stacked around the walls of her garage. But even as she went through the checklist another time, something didn’t seem quite right. No, that wasn’t it. The niggling feeling she’d felt when she had first woke swirled around her again, telling her something felt different. It wasn’t that it wasn’t right; it was just different. Had she finally tapped into some intuitive connection with werewolves? As stupid as that sounded, she didn’t have a better explanation. Could they find one today?
