An excerpt from Wanted By the Wolf (A Werewolf’s Curse #4)
Kathy reveled in the wicked sensation of having been thoroughly pleasured. She trailed her fingers along Jeff’s heated skin. Until she’d met him, she’d never known a man so focused on ensuring her pleasure before he got his own. In the one year that she’d been living with her werewolf, she had had more orgasms than she had in seven years with what’s-his-face. She frowned.
No, she didn’t want to think about him. Not when this had been such a glorious morning already.
Moonlight filled the bedroom, but she didn’t need a calendar to know that. Having lived with Jeff this long, the lunar cycle had become integral to her daily life.
Yes, he became more sexually attentive when the moon was full, but that didn’t mean that he was neglectful of her body or her basic non-sexual needs during the rest of the month. If she could’ve imagined a perfect lover and a perfect father for her children, Jeff was it.
But nothing and no one was perfect. Not even Jeff.
When would she find out the truth about him? Waiting for reality to set in was damn difficult. All she could hope was that the darkness inside of him would not be as soul destroying as the darkness inside her ex.
Jeff said she was his mate, but Kathy wasn’t so sure. According to Jeff’s adoptive mother, who was a wolf’s wife too, mates had a strong, deep bond that was unlike any other relationship. She’d also said Kathy should feel a sharp pull under the moonlight too. But she didn’t.
Did that mean his true mate was still out there? What if he met her? Would he toss her aside?
“Why so serious?” Jeff said as he drew his nose along the side of her face, inhaling as he did so.
