Last year one of my coworkers asked if I included questions at the end of my books that people could use in a book club setting (or, I suppose, that they could think about after they read the book). I don’t have any. I hadn’t even realized that was a thing, to be honest.

But I thought it might be fun to try.

I found a “Book Club Discussion Questions” post on bookriot.com, but I didn’t think most of the questions really suited my sexy little story. So, I came up with some of my own.

Here are 7 questions to ask about Their Runaway Mate:

  1. Jasmine’s most prized possession is her recipe book. It is one of the few things she grabs when she runs away in the beginning of the book. Question: What would you grab on your flight from dragons?
  2. Their Runaway Mate includes a range of different moments from chase scenes and sexy times. What song(s) would be a good playlist for the book?
  3. Which character in the book would you most like to meet? (For me, it is Jasmine’s aunt. LOL)
  4. What was your favorite moment or quote?
  5. What do you think would happen if humans discovered they were sharing Earth with shifters? Do you think they would be segregated?
  6. The dragons live in the mountains. (Dragon Country is a fictionalized version of the foothills and mountains around Calgary and Banff in Alberta, Canada.) What would happen to the Winter Olympics if suddenly all of the mountain ranges in the world were exclusively the domain of dragons?
  7. Do you think Jasmine changed her mind about dragons because they were sexy or because they were nice to her?

The Mannix Dragons Series isn’t a serious kind of read, so I kept my questions on the lighter side of things.

What do you think?

Should I make up questions for all of my books?
