So… it’s time for a confession: this year hasn’t gone according to plan.
And, yeah, that’s my fault.
But now that September is right around the corner (as in tomorrow!!), I’m finally getting things in order again, so I thought it was time for an author update.
DARK GUARDS – MY NEW / UPCOMING SERIES
My upcoming series (Dark Guards) is coming along. The first book is ready, but I’m waiting for the next couple to finish edits before I publish. This means that I have to figure out when to release these. I’m still working out the timing on this but I’ll blast the news around as soon as things come together.
Of course, the longer I wait, the more I play with things like covers… So, although I shared a cover for the first book a while ago, chances are that the books will look a bit different by the time they finally make it into the world.
MANNIX DRAGON SHIFTERS
My dragon books got a facelift and I’m changed the blurbs. The previous covers (showing two guys with a woman in a clinch) made advertising nearly impossible. So, hopefully this will help! 🙂 Besides, it is fun to freshen things up once in a while, right?

CONTEMPORARY STORIES – “The End”
Perhaps the biggest news for last… After a lot of soul searching, I’ve decided to let my contemporary stories lapse. This means that the His BBW to Hold series, the Masquerade Curves duology and the Sanctuary Lake series will go out of print (for now… who knows what the future will hold).
Most of these were written very early in my career and I feel that they no longer reflect the way I’m taking my brand and my career. It’s been a difficult decision because so many of these stories are what sparked things for me and helped me meet my wonderful network of friends and readers.
But, things change.
I’ve honestly been thinking about this for a while. It is why I haven’t finished the Sanctuary Lake series yet. And I had originally planned to publish a new contemporary series (I even have a book completed and edited already) but I’ve been second-guessing this decision for a long time, so that makes me think it isn’t the right time for that book / series.
On the other side of things, I’m thinking of reviewing those contemporary books and perhaps re-writing some of them–expanding them and giving them a fresh polish. Who knows, I may even rewrite some of them into paranormal romances, because honestly my brain just seems to be wired for paranormal lately. (I’m not sure what that says about me… 😉 )
