An excerpt from Protected by the Wolf (A Werewolf’s Curse #1):

“Let me,” he said as he stepped behind her and rested his hands on her shoulders. His warm fingers skated down the side of her cool bare neck as he slipped his hand along her collar. Her heart raced at the fleeting caress. Something brushed her hair. Was he sniffing her? Then he nudged the coat from her shoulders.

He shook the residual snow from her jacket, then he hung it beside his.

“Um, thank you,” she said as she faced him again. “You know, we can wait until next week.”

“I promise to stay out of your way.” He smiled. Tiny crinkles formed at the sides of his gleaming eyes. She could bask in that smile for the rest of the day.

“I didn’t think you did the service calls,” she managed to say before she completely embarrassed herself by moving nearer to him. But she did want to be closer to him. Really close. Naked close.

Stop that.

“I don’t usually, but I made an exception for you.” He winked at her.

As much as her brain tried to dismiss his words as an innocent flirtation, arousal was fluttering awake inside her. Desire curled over her and her eyes drifted down his face to his lips. Kissable. Strong. Tempting lips.
